More Swirlydoos Bejeweled Kit

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing two more projects using the January Bejeweled Kit. I can't say enough good things about the BFS pattern paper. I really love the thickness so you can do as much mixed media you like and still keeps it's shape. Here I went with girly grunge again.

I made a mini tag album with left over bits of paper. The tags came in the Embellie Add-on. As did the resin birds. If you like embellishments with Embellie Add-on is a must have!
 Here are the three tags.

Love Story Blue Fern Studios

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to share my layout I made using the new Blue Fern Studios Love Story Collection! I'm blessed to design for this amazing company. When I got my DT box in the mail with the papers and new STAMPS I couldn't wait to get started!

I first brushed some gesso to the middle of the paper. Then did some light stamping with the diamond stamp  and postage stamp collage. From there I just did all my layering and embellishing. I used Cotillion, Calling Cards, and Amazing Heart papers.
The "adore" chippy is from the Adore, Love, Cherish set. I painted it with gesso, misted and added glitter.
Here I used the Ornate Shelf. I got a little carried away with the flowers(no surprise there)and covered it up. But it's there...lol! I used the negative piece at the top of the photo.
I used the Tattered Diamond Bits as a bottom layer to my mats. I painted them with gesso and used UTEE on random spots. Once heated I sprayed with red mist. The butterfly, Rose Petal, is from my ETSY shop.  I thought it matched perfectly with the papers! :)

Thank you for visiting!

My first DT projects for Blue Fern Studios

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to finally share my very first  projects as Blue Fern Studios designer. I’m so delighted to be part of a team with amazing designers and fantastic products. I hope this year you’ll be inspired by my projects.

This is my first project based on the sketch:
I used the Meadows of Time, Botanical Garden and Calling Cards pattern paper from the Sanctuary Collection. I painted the Grunge Frame chippy randomly with gesso and misted it. Once it was dry I added just a tad bit of burgundy paint.

For this layout I used the Garden Plaza and Conservatory papers also from the Sanctuary Collection. I did some layering with the Large Roman Clock pieces. Painting them with gesso then adding some textured paint.  Once dried I place the small clock on top of the large.

The Butterfly Grid had to be my most favorite piece. If you know me, you know I adore butterflies. I painted the grid and adhered it to the Boudoir pattern paper. Then, I layered the Tattered Butterflies over larger butterflies on the grid. Making it three dimensional.

Thank you for taking the time.....see you next month!!!

We have some absolutely beautiful scrapbook projects for you to see today !!

I was over the moon when I received my kit. I couldn't wait to see the Blue Fern Studios Sanctuary papers in person. And.....omg.....are they beautiful! I didn't have much time to work on my projects due to the holidays. But, I was able to get these done quickly because the paper and embellishments were so inspiring.

My first page is my take on the January sketch. I just flipped it to better my design since the pretty image of the flowers is on the left. I used Rae's Water Color Tutorial on the BFS chippy. The Iron Maiden Butterflies are from my Etsy Shop.

Here is the sketch. Be sure to enter are sketch challenge. Anyone can join!

This is a canvas I made using the Color Lab Technique Kit. Pretty cool, pretty fun stuff I must say. I first painted the canvas with clear gesso. Then, did some masking with Molding paste. After that was dried I made some pink and blue mist and randomly sprayed the canvas and the white flowers. On the side I was working on the cheese cloth and Blue Fern chippy to add on top of the canvas. I lightly sprayed it with the mists and glued to the canvas. Finishing touch, of course, are my Dreamy Butterflies and Hand Tinted Glitter Glass from my Little Scrap Shop on Etsy.

You have until midnight, eastern time, January 8th to complete the hop. Winners will be announced on the Swirlydoos Blog on 1/10. In order to qualify to win here is what you need to do:
