Whimsy 2nd Reveal for Swirlydoos

Good day, friends! Today I'd like to share with you my last two projects using the Swirlydoos January kit, Whimsy. I have to say, although I love all the Swirlydoos Kits, this one had to be my new fav. The Prima FireFly Collection mixed with Fabscraps was a match made in heaven. The colors and embellies....perfection!

Little Sister
This is my oldest and youngest daughters. Nefferteari is so busy in her studies and teenage life that she doesn't get to spend to much time with Delilah. So, when I do see them together, I'm snapping away...lol!
Purple and blue is my all time favorite color combo!! I did get lots of comments on my last purple layout that purple isn't liked very much...lol!! I don't see why! Then I think they must feel they way I do about orange.....then I get it! The butterflies, Lavender Fields, are the newest addition to my Etsy shop. I always gotta have butterflies to match my layouts. They are usually the last element that goes on my page to add that finishing touch. ;)

Here is my recipe box using the Project Kit. I decided to make it photo box instead since it's to damn pretty to destroy in the kitchen. Hubby and I are messy cooks. And sometimes we have the girls in there helping out...huge disaster area, I tell ya! This was my first time putting together the Kaisercraft craft wood projects. Very fun...but holy crap...time consuming!!!! In the end I just love the way it turned out!!!

Here is the lid

Close up of the lid. I purchased the frame from Michael's and made a mold of it using the Jan. project kit. The resin frame is a lot thinner than the original frame. Works great for scrapbook pages.

The side panel. The left and right side look exactly the same. I added tulle to the windows.

The front. I used a lot of the older Zva crystals that I got in my DT package years ago. I painted the Timmy feet with gesso. Just before it was completely dry, I wiped some gesso off with a paper towel.

Here is the inside of the lid.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my projects. To see what the uber talented Swirlydoos Designers did with their kits, please visit Swirlydoos!!

Until my next post.......

Your layout is absolutely gorgeous! Love the color combo- those aqua flowers just pop off the purple! And what an exquisite photo box! Love that frame and every detail!
